Hello 204 Parents!

I have attached the link to the sign up page for conferences. Please remember to arrive on time so we can maximize the allotted time discussing your child's progress!
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Third graders will be taking the PARCC test from 3/14-3/22. There are seven tests in total, 3 reading and 4 math. Students will be taking one test per day.
Here are some tips to help your child prepare for testing!

eat a healthy breakfast
arrive to school on time and be here every day (especially during testing)
keep a positive “can do” student attitude!
Dear 204 Families,
This Friday, March 3rd, we will be having our 3rd grade Old Town School of Music harmonica performance in the Coonley gym from 10:30-11:30. Everyone is more than welcome to attend and see the kids perform what we've been practicing for the past seven weeks!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone!
Hello 204 Families!
This week, Coonley students will participate in the school's first Kindness Week. Every day will have a different theme of kindness, which we will discuss and incorporate through our day. We will be watching videos, reading stories, and participating in small activities that connect to the them of the day. Students also have an opportunity to participate in a random act of kindness that is associated with that day! If possible, students should wear the color associated with that day's theme. The week goes as follows:
Monday: Appreciation (wear blue)
Tuesday: Friendship (wear yellow)
Wednesday: Giving (wear purple)
Thursday: School (wear red)
Friday: Environment (wear green)
Hello Room 204 families!
The math homework scheduled for tonight is being postponed until tomorrow because we are going to take another day to go over lesson 12.5
Hello Room 204 Families!
We have decided to postpone our Math Topic 11 Test by a week so we can give the students extra time to practice multi-step word problems. These are more complicated because the kids have to determine which operations to use in a problem, and there are multiple steps involved. We will continue to review and practice these types of problems for the rest of the week so they feel prepared for their test early next week.
